COMPANY HISTORY
Adept was founded in 1993 by Shelton Burr on the principle that the greatest joy in life is found by giving ourselves to others. Shelton spent the early years of his career with various plumbing outfits while advancing through his plumbing apprenticeship, gaining the skills and planting the seeds to eventually fulfill his dream of starting a company. Throughout the late 1980s, Shelton maintained employment while continuing to excel as tradesperson. His distinctive ability to drive field production earned him further promotion to management, where he continued to excel.
As president and CEO, Shelton brings more than 30 years of experience in business development, project management, estimating, and sales to Adept. He and his team have grown Adept into a highly competitive general and mechanical contracting firm with track record of exceeding its customers’ needs.
